Multiple logins to the system#71

B

Can we have more tham one person log in to the system? I realize multiple users can use the same log in but that feels less secure than each user having their own.

Yes good Idea, I have another person also doing the pays and need a second login otherwise they have to use my login details.

When sharing a log in, authenticator seems to be the main problem. My wife can’t log in unless she has my copy of authenticator. Is there a way of linking two versions of authenticator to either each other or to the same log in?

Yes we need this also. The person who normally does the pays is going on leave next week, so how does our back up person log in? The employee going on leave will have her phone and her email, we can’t access that.

We need this as well. My in house staff accounts clerk has to ring me and ask for my google authenticator number so she can log in back at the office ???

If I (the director) set up the system using my email address can another person (the bookkeeper) log in to the system using their/different email address?
ie: is the login linked/dependant on the original email address supplied when setting up the account?

any updates on this feature request????

This feature should have been included at ground zero, not something as an after thought. When will this be implemented? While this software is dependant on one login it is flawed from a security perspective and it cannot be taken seriously.

Yes PLEASE! It’s been more than a year since this was requested. The director signed up for the account but his admin person will be doing the payroll. Why should he have to share his password with the employee? I’s just WRONG.

Hi there, a work around for this request at this stage is that if you arent linked to an agent account you can change your company account to an agent account and invite your admin team as team members to manage the payroll.

To change to an agent account checkout this guide here

To invite admin members as team members click here.

The reason for the request are many as can be seen in the request history which is niow a long time since initial request. Thanks John

I support this feature request as well - as my business grows I want to be able to enable one of my employees to manage the roster and timesheets, but I still want to have sole control over payroll and STP reporting. Allowing employees to have different logins with different access rights would make this a lot more secure.

Separation of rostering responsibility & payroll responsibility is critical for growing businesses. Within Payroller, I suggest two different admin clases (Rostering Admin, Payroll Admin). I strongly support this feature request

Given that this issue has been upvoted over a hundred times, has been requested for more than three years, and is a relatively easy software revision task, surely it is time that this issue was given some serious attention.

I agree with the last post which agrees with my post of a year ago. Point is, these posts seem to go into a black hole with no response or feedback which is unreasonable since Payroller is now a paid for service and not a freebie as it was.

Thanks for your feedback everyone. We have added this request to the list of features to be evaluated. We are planning to update Payroller around summer 2022-23 and aim to include the requests along with the update.
